Painting the Stairs Update (Posted June 12, 2007)
Because of timing issues – we didn’t want to interfere with the weekend – the stairs will be painted and cleaned with painting to start thereafter on Monday, June 18 and should be finished in a few days, weather permitting. Sherwin Williams is going to cover the cost of the paint and the contractor and the developer will pay for repainting. It was suggested by Sherwin Williams that a six plus year warranty for future maintenance will be given to the Association if the balance of the sides and under carriage of the landings and steps are also painted. We highly recommend in order to cut back on possible every other year maintenance, to paint these areas in order to get longer life from these stairs, due to Lake Erie conditions, and help with all future maintenance costs to the Association, it will only be $1,750.00, which will save the Association in years to come.
Lake Shore Stairs Update (Posted June 7, 2007)
The steps to the Beach will be completely repainted at no cost to the HA and will come with a 5-6 year warranty. The painting will take place (weather permitting) sometime during the week of June 11 and should be completed by the weekend of the 15th in time to enjoy the beach. Please stay off the steps during this time. Thank you for your patience!
Lake Shore Stairs (Posted May 21, 2007)
The contractor that painted the stairs to the beach has had Sherwin Williams look at the stairs and they have determined they sold the contractor the wrong paint for the stairs. Sherwin Williams will determine a solution so this will not occur again. Unfortunately, it probably won't be done before Memorial weekend. We apologize for any inconvenience, however the stairs are still useable, but please be cautious about getting rust on your clothing. We all want to make sure the next time they are done, they are done properly so homeowners will not have to go through this again and will be able to keep maintenance down to a minimum. Further notice will be forthcoming in a few days.
